Action For Kids needs your feedback to help us open a new special college in Haringey for students aged 16-19 with SEN (special educational needs).

We want a world where everyone living with a disability gets to lead the life they choose.

At the AFK College we will help young people learn the skills needed to get a job and lead an independent life. Self-advocacy, work placements and engagement with the community will be essential elements of the college’s programme as well as an emphasis on English and Maths, and gaining qualifications and accreditation.

As part of the application process to open a new college, we must demonstrate that we have support from parents and carers. Your support is very important.

If you are a parent or carer of a child currently who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (‘EHCP’) or Statement and believe there is a need for a specialist college to prepare young people for work and living independently, please answer this quick survey.

Who is the college for?

Our college is for 16 to 19 year olds who have an Education Health and Care Plan. It is for young people who want to learn as much as they can so that they can get a job.

We want to launch the college in September 2019.
