Saturday 8th December was an exhausting day full of excitement for disabled young people from Action For Kids. First Sainsbury's Muswell Hill organised a 3km walk through Highgate Woods, complete with Santa hats, carol singing, and lots of running around from the local Beavers and Cub Scouts. Once the walkers had returned to St James' Church in Muswell Hill, Sainsbury's provided mince pies to all the hungry walkers.
That afternoon Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts put on their annual Christmas Carol Concert by Hornsey Town Hall in north London, with all proceeds from the sale of song sheets and donations coming to Action For Kids. Young people from Action For Kids had been practicing hard, and joined in with the choir. The annual concert brought people from miles around, and brought the area alive with festive cheer - as well as bringing out the performer inside the Action For Kids young people.
