Holiday programme
We offer young disabled people the opportunity to undetake work related learning activities during the half term, Easter and summer holidays. The programme offers young people the chance to develop their office skills and confidence in a vibrant and fun environment. It is very effective in developing young people's personal and professional skills for later adult life.
In the October and May half terms as well as the Easter and Summer holidays, young people take part in the organisation and planning of a range of events, including the Summer & Winter Reunion Parties. These have become ‘must attend events' for many of the young people who have benefited from Action For Kids' Services.
Throughout the year we also involve young people in the organising and planning of various other activities, such as ten-pin bowling, ice skating, street carnivals and summer/winter fairs.
The programme is run during the following holidays:
- Half terms: Feb, June and October
- Easter: March and April
- Summer: July and August
