Work Related Learning
At Action For Kids we recognise how difficult it can be for young disabled people to gain access to employment opportunities. We also recognise that work related learning is not all about getting a job. In addition to developing and enhancing skills that are transferable to either employment, volunteering or taking an active role in the community, it is about giving young people a growing sense of independence and confidence.
At Action For Kids we focus on young people's abilities, providing them with a positive and supportive environment in which to develop their self-esteem.
Our services fall into 4 main strands:
We provide placements to young people from 17 London boroughs and Hertfodshire and offer a range of support services including chaperoned transport and one-to-one support for personal care as well as learning needs.
