Charlie's story
Charlie's mother Zoë initially saw a trike at a special needs exhibition and arranged for Charlie to be assessed for one. She remembered vividly the first time he tried it out. "I have never seen him so happy, it was amazing". Charlie was devastated when after the assessment they took the trike away.
Charlie now has a trike of his own - it's made a dramatic improvement to Charlie's life as Zoë explains. "He's a little boy and he's got a lot of energy but he was stuck in his wheelchair all the time. I used to get stressed out that he had nothing - now when I know he's frustrated I can put him on the trike and he's happy."
