Joe & Luke's story
Seventeen-year-old twin brothers Joe and Luke have cerebral palsy. They found it difficult to self-propel themselves in their manual chairs over long distances and had to rely on others to push them around, making it hard for their mum to take the boys out by herself.
Now that Joe and Luke have powered wheelchairs, they can get out and about independently. Joe said "I would like to say a huge thank you to Action For Kids for funding my new powered wheelchair. It is brilliant, fantastic and wonderful. I am now able to explore on my own without having to go where my parents push me. Hooray! No more visiting the ladies clothes department!!! It was just not cool for a 17 year old lad".
