Nepal - Trek to Everest Base Camp

You will arrive in the colourful and bustling capital, Kathmandu and have time to explore the capital and relax before your real journey begins.  After sampling the local culture and meeting the friendly people you will begin your trek and visit Sherpa villages as your route takes you through lush rainforest, beautiful valleys and across glacial rivers before reaching your final destination at Everest Base Camp which will present you will the most breathtaking views, astounding scenery and a sense of achievement that you will not be able to put into works.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Depart UK, fly to Kathmandu
Day 2: Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to hotel in Thamel area
Day 3: Kathmandu city tour
Day 4: Stunning early flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, gateway to the Everest region
Day 5: Trek Namche Hill and on to Namche itself
Day 6: A rest day in Namche; explore the markets and acclimatise
Days 7 - 9: Namche to Dingboche (4100m) including acclimatisation day
Days 10 - 12: Dingboche to Lobuche; on to our highest point at Kalapatar (5545m)
Days 13 - 15: Lukla, via Pengboche, home to Khumbu's oldest gompa, and yeti relics
Day 16: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
Day 17: Free day in Kathmandu
Day 18: Depart Kathmandu
Day 19: Arrive London

Trip grade: Extreme (challenge involves a range of altitudes and temperatures, demanding greater stamina and fitness and requires determination, confidence and commitment!)
