A Gift in your Will

"In recent months James had become very quiet and withdrawn. The change in him is nothing short of miraculous. Now that he is no longer in constant pain he has enormous enthusiasm for everything he does and is again chatty and full of smiles."
(James's mum Evelyn following receipt of his new chair)
James has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - a muscle wasting condition which gets progressively worse with time.
On approaching us, his mum Evelyn had explained that for this reason every day was precious to James and that she hated to see him spend these days in pain and discomfort in his NHS chair. The new electric chair James received made such an enormous difference to his quality of life and now he is a regular at our office, coming in every week to take part in the activities of our Work Related Learning department.
Evelyn told us: ‘There are so many families of disabled children who, like us, simply cannot afford the equipment their son or daughter needs. That's why we think that, if anyone can leave a gift to AFK in their Will, it could mean a world of difference to many other families like ours'.
