About us

At Action For Kids we help disabled children, young people, their parents and carers in three main ways. We provide mobility aids, Work Related Learning (WRL) and offer family support services. In fact we try never to say no and will help in any way we can to enable disabled children and young people lead full and independent lives.

Our Mission, Vision and Values

Vision: Our vision is a world where all disabled young people and their families receive the support and advice they need, when they need it, for as long as they need it.

Mission: Our mission is based on creating independence, providing opportunity and offering support.

AFK's mission is to help physically and learning disabled children and young people and their families find a greater level of independence and opportunity, through the provision of appropriate aid and support.

We do this through our programme of services:

• Mobility equipment to help provide independent movement
• Work Related Learning to help provide access to employment, Further Education, and alternative career opportunities
• Family Support Services to provide information, support and advocacy
• Independent Living, teaching domestic and other practical skills

Values: Our values are based on friendliness, approachability, personal contact, dedication and openness.
